Other Creatures — Cardboard & Paper Sculptures
These sculptures take many forms, from mask-like faces to unfamiliar creatures. Made from cardboard and paper, they are shaped through layers, texture and form.
I made this thinking about what it means to stay in one place. I'm still not sure if it's rest, or if I just can't move.
This piece uses handmade paper I’ve made in the studio, combined with natural materials like sand, turmeric and coffee to build surface texture and colour variation.
