Other Creatures — Cardboard & Paper Sculptures
These sculptures take many forms, from mask-like faces to unfamiliar creatures. Made from cardboard and paper, they are shaped through layers, texture and form.
This piece uses handmade paper I’ve made in the studio, combined with natural materials like sand, turmeric and coffee to build surface texture and colour variation.
I’ve been drawn to the idea of things shifting between states while making it.
